I’ve really been in need of a restoration staycation so I couldn’t be more excited about this weekend! See, it’s my sissy Wangui’s birthday weekend and even as we speak we’re running a few last minute errands before we head out to a greener town to air toes for a few days 😀 Birthdays are a perfect time for family and friends to get together and have a grand time and I simply can’t wait to let my hair down. (Even literally!) I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on my Instagram, so stay tuned 🙂

In the meantime, thought I’d share with you pics we took on some nice sunny Sunday after church.

When it comes to church-wear, I like to keep it simple yet elegant and I couldn’t think of a better way to step out than with a pairing that’s both sophisticated and mood enhancing.

It was particularly hot that Sunday, meaning it was the perfect time to take this twirl-worthy skirt out for a walk around town 🙂 Besides the pleats that ooze  classic glamour and the vibrant floral print, I love that the skirt looks just as chic at Sunday brunch as it does at a backyard BBQ.

I wanted to mute all the drama going on with the skirt with this simple off-white vest and to cement the look, pumps in a shade of green acceptably close to the green shade on the skirt.

Now if I had a dollar for every time I’ve worn this vest in the last couple of weeks alone…! That’s all I’m saying. Lol!
