Today I’m throwing it back to the most amazing weekend; the highlight being boarding Gikosh Air last Friday evening!
ProKraft Africa, in conjunction with photographer extrodinaire – Osborne Macharia and renowned fashion stylist and prop master – Kevo Abbra, put together Kenya’s first in-flight art exhibition and this unique experience transported me, and others alike, to a whole other universe! It was that playful dance between art and creativity that I loved so much and we owe the striking pieces to Gikomba craftsmen and women who salvage abandoned airplanes, transforming them into exquisite pieces of furniture art. The event saw lovers of everything unique gather at the Junction Mall, where this two-day interactive event all went down.
To say that I fell even deeper in love with art would be an understatement and no words can possibly do the Gikosh Air concept and event enough justice. I’ll leave it to the pictures to do the talking, so brace yourselves for an experience and a half! 😉
Thank you to Tintseh for capturing most of these amazing moments!
