Happy new week, everyone! Can you believe just how fast time is flying? We’re already in the second half of January and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick start the week than with some
gentle kick in the ass reminders boss babe tips for y’all 😉
Before we jump right into the tips, remember to always be kind and realistic with yourself. Whether you are in formal employment, or run a business, you’ve probably spent years cultivating your work habits, some good and others bad. With this in mind, you can’t expect these habits to change overnight. The key is to make small adjustments, which can lead to long lasting changes and this will take time and discipline.
So, let’s get started!
… and maximize on the hours you are most productive. Some of us are morning people, others are night owls. I personally find myself most engaged pretty early in the morning and late at night. During these hours, I’ll dive into the harder strategic tasks, and save the less tasking ones for the hours in between. I also prefer to start my day pretty early, that way I get a lot more accomplished than if I sleep in.
To-do-lists are cool…
… but priority lists are where it’s at. A priority list is like a to-do-list on crack and is the perfect way to get things done in order of urgency. Note all that you have to do, starting with the high priority tasks and be sure to bare in mind the hours you can handle more difficult tasks, based on the hours you’re most productive.
… declutter your work space and keep away anything that has the potential to distract you while you’re working. Something I’ve been keen on this year is limiting my use of social media, especially during my peak hours. I find that I get a lot more done, faster. What are some of your major distractions? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Reflect on mistakes, but…
… stay fixated on success. We’re all human and we fall sometimes. The key is to pick yourself up, take the lessons from mistakes and keep it moving.
Schedule your day…
… the night before. This not only gives you a head start, but also keeps you organized and helps you see everything day by day and in advance as needed.
… and a healthy lifestyle is a major key to being productive. This is a huge wake up call for me, because I’ve been slacking on my fitness routine, but whenever I work out, I feel more alert, focused and less anxious.
