Whenever it comes to dressing up for an event, I often find myself gravitating towards the absence of colour. Black has got to be the most mysterious, yet sophisticated hue, ever! I love that it has a slimming effect and makes for the perfect canvas to play around with accessories and pops of colour. With two Safaricom Jazz concerts coming up on 18th and 20th October, I can’t help but think of all the black fabulous pieces I can put to good use at the events 😉
I first debuted this black jumpsuit during the Maybelline Fit For Kenya launch, but this time I gave the look a more minimalist feel. Standing out in an all black ensemble is heavily reliant on accessories, so I brought out the big guns with a few of my current faves.
I’m entirely obsessed with these Africa earrings which I got at the Nairobi Flea Market – Alchemist. I’m constantly fighting the urge to wear them and this time around, they made for the perfect stand-out piece for my noir situation. I also played with colour – a swipe of red lipstick and a matching pair of lace up heels for good measure 😉
Have you purchased your tickets to Safaricom Jazz yet? If not, you might be in luck because I’m giving away a pair of tickets here!
Thank you all for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
