Good morning everyone and TGIF!

Now, we all know how essential lipstick is to complete a makeup look, or even just to add the right amount of pizzazz to your outfit. I almost can’t believe it myself, because once upon a time I was intimidated by lipstick. I’d always admire women rocking their bold statement lips and think “Wow! When I grow up” but with time and effort, I overcame my fear.

All Lipsticks: His And Hers Scents

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had my fair share of fun, playing around with different shades of NYX Matte Lip Creams and Milani Lipsticks, and today I’ll be sharing with you a review based on my experience 🙂

Nude lipstick has a hot sister! Her name is Cinnamon Spice and she smells like candy!

A nude lip is the essence of sexy, and although finding the perfect one can be a bit of a brainer, this moisturizing bronze shade is exactly perfect for us brown girls. When it comes to nude shades, I always prefer a glossy formula of lipstick for a more natural-looking effect, so I’m right in my element with this one! Granted, your lips might not steal the show, but they won’t go unnoticed either.

All hail Plumrose, the pink princess!

Let’s face it, we all need that perfect pink lipstick that instantly makes us feel girly and pretty, and I’m super excited that I found mine right here! Plumrose is moisturizing and glides smoothly for a gorgeous, soft radiance. I love that it delivers instant colour in a single swipe, and smells like fresh watermelon 🙂

Although we all need moisturizing lipsticks in our lives, if you’re looking for something a little low maintenance in terms of touch ups, you might want to seek a matte option.

Meet Prague, the Sultry Slayer!

This creamy, lustrous shade goes on silky smooth and then sets to a matte finish. Unlike a few matte liquid lipsticks, I didn’t experience any cracking with the cream (which is usually my number one pet peeve with many matte lipsticks), and only touched up after meals 🙂

As much as I always enjoy a good ol’ wine stain, Amsterdam has been my least favourite. For starters, I didn’t quite like how the colour looked on my lips, and it absolutely did not work without lip liner- preferably of a darker shade. Well, at least speaking from my experience. It also required lots and lots of coats and building up, to achieve a desired shade and on days when I was motivated enough to put in the extra effort, I experienced a little cracking.

She’s dark and mysterious. She’s Transylvania!

If I had to choose a favourite from my NYX Matte Lip Cream collection, this would definitely be it. I’ve been leaning towards dark lipstick lately, so I often found myself building on the coats to achieve the desired dark shade. I didn’t mind this at all though, because the results are fire!

This is just a little taste of what the cool peeps over at His and Hers Scents have in store for you, and in my honest opinion, these brands are definitely worth a try. I love that they look and smell amazing and are relatively easy on the pockets too.

So, which one(s) will you guys be trying out soon?

Drop me a comment and let me know!
