Hi everyone! Hope you’ve all had an amazing week? I’ve had the most weird couple of days; potato chip cravings and almost zero psych for the gym and much else, so I’m super glad the weekend is here and I’ll get to relax, unwind and re-charge for next week. Speaking of next week, The Safaricom International Jazz Festival is going down next Sunday (25th Feb) and y’all know I’m super excited about that! My girlfriends and I attended last year’s concert and to say that we had a blast would be an understatement! This time round, we have our cute summer ‘fits and picnic mats ready, all set for an afternoon of #MusicThatMoves.
Now, totally shifting gears! I’ve received tons of questions about my current protective style, so I thought to share all the details here.
They’re called Jumbo Cornrows and I had them done by the best in the game – Jane Top Hair Stylist. Jane is my go-to hairdresser for all things braids and I love that she’s super gentle with my hair, always up to date with the latest braiding trends and most of all, she understands that the blow-dry is not my friend. Lol! The do took her less than two hours, (I had washed and treated my hair prior to the visit) we used 5 packs of the normal Abuja braids and she extended them for length. She also has tons of cute hair accessories, which saved me the trip to go looking elsewhere. I’ve had the hair for about three weeks now, so it’s probably time for something new 🙂
