RESTYLING CLASSICS

Well, hello new month! Is it just me, or is 2016 on super steroids? I can’t believe we’re already one month into the year and the cheesy month of love is here! February, be good to us, ey? 🙂

In the meantime, it feels so great to be back (and to have been missed :-* ) on this space after what felt like the longest hiatus ever! Thanks to that little break, I have this amazing, fresh energy and I simply can’t wait to share with you guys the exciting projects I’ve been working on 🙂

Today, however, it’s back to basics: restyling classic pieces and playing with fun textures.

Nairobi weather has taken a totally different turn this year, with occasional sweeps of rain brushing through the city at a time when we should be fighting the urge to leave the house in as little clothing as possible! On the bright side though, those rainy days allow us plenty of room to get creative with our dressing.

I’m such a huge believer in investing in classics and restyling them as many ways as possible, so I felt right in my element in this ensemble. It’s the juxtaposition of edge and sophistication that I loved so much and even though I went with a dark colour palette, all the elements worked seamlessly together to get the outfit popping.
