I love today’s roomy knit situation because it’s a perfect blend of practicality and sophistication. The plan, initially, was to go for a monochromatic look with the polo neck and super-skinny jeans in the same damson hue, but then I laid my eyes on the most stylish trench coat ever and you know what they say… The rest is history!

A surefire way to ace the over-sized knit fashion trend involves injecting structure into the look and this satin number not only did that, but also accentuated my waistline with its self-tie feature, not to mention the fun drama brought about by the over-sized collar! 🙂

While satin is undeniably luxurious and looks gorgeous under all lighting, I’m not quite in love with the tantrums pieces in this stunning fabric throw-in form of creases and wrinkles- when they come into contact even with the air! For this reason, satin pieces must have some serious stand-out details to earn space in my closet.

Note that I went just one size up with the polo neck to avoid looking a bulky-humpty-dumpty mess with the coat over.
