When it comes to risky trends, the art of mixing prints is probably at the top of the intimidating list. What’s really amazing is that once you master the art of mixing, the options for potential outfits in your closet widely increase, so why not take the risk? šŸ™‚

Today I thought I’d share with you some key aspects to consider when serving a print cocktail.

Stripes of any size, or polka dotsĀ are the easiest print to mix into an outfit because they function as neutrals and can be paired with almost anything! (See one here)

Wearing two bold prints together can be rather overwhelming, so I prefer to pair a bold piece with a piece whose print is less dominant.

I personally like to mix contrasting tones, likeĀ bold colours with natural tones. What would be off, in my opinion, is to have a mix of only super bright, spot-me-from-space kindaĀ colours!

Outfits can easily become chaotic when too many prints are in play. My suggestion is to stick to two prints, to avoid having an outfit thatĀ could easily be mistaken forĀ a costume šŸ™
