Happy new week, everyone!
It’s exactly seven days until the Safaricom International Jazz Day and my squad and I are super excited, to say the least!
International Jazz Day actually falls on 30th of April, but Safaricom Jazz are making sure we usher in the second quarter of 2018 in style, by hosting the much anticipated concert on 1st of May – Labour Day. (Yaay! Something exciting to get up to during the holiday, besides spending the day in PJs, stuffing my face and binge watching ratchet TV! 😛 ) So, you guys know I NEVER miss a Safaricom Jazz event and judging by how much fun we had the last time, this one is going to be Even. More. Epic! Carnivore Grounds will be booming with Grammy award-winning tracks from Manu Dibango & the Soul Makossa Gang, and of course some soothing tunes from our very own – Nairobi Horns Project, Jacob Asiyo, Chris Bittok and many more.
I meant it when I said my squad and I are ready and to prove it, I teamed up with my blogger buddy, Miss Nyawi, to share with you guys fun, comfy and jazzy outfit ideas under $25/Kshs. 2,500!
The weather in Nairobi has been here and there, so layering is key. I’m living for leather accents lately and this pleated skirt is such a fab twist to the “Hey Mama Skirt!” Do you remember those? Lol! I wanted to inject some fun to the look, so my crop top came in handy and for some sass, I layered with a recent fur thrift that I can’t get over! I plan to dance the afternoon away, so comfort is key and my Bata sneaks are bae 😉
Crop Top: Thrift – $25/Kshs. 250
Leather Skirt: Thrift – $40/Kshs. 400
