Going on vacation doesn’t mean you have to leave your sense of style back at home. If anything, being in a foreign place can make for the perfect excuse to experiment with your style and even turn things up a notch 😉
Today, I’ll be sharing with you a few tips that I hope will come in handy the next time you jet off for your vacation.

IT ALL STARTS AT HOME

The key to making an impression while you’re on vacay lies with planning and packing smart. I found it so much easier to make a list of all the stuff I would need as well as the looks that I wanted to achieve, then I took to rummaging through my closet, for pieces that would be a perfect fit for what I had in mind.

CHOOSE YOUR COLOUR PALETTES

It may not seem important, but colour palettes are a perfect way to express your unique style and if smartly chosen, your pieces will be easy to mix and match.

VERSATILITY IS KEY

I always prefer to have more than enough options when it comes to my vacation style, but the hard truth is that you can’t take your whole wardrobe with you for just a week or two! The trick here is to pack pieces which can be used and styled in more ways than one.
For instance, this beach cover up from my dhow cruise also served as a fab kimono for my first horseback riding experience! 😀
As you read on, you will see a few other gems that made me an unapologetic repeat offender 😛

TAKE A LEAF FROM ROME!

Gladiator sandals definitely deserve some real estate in your closet! Not only are they super versatile, but unlike many other pairs I’ve seen, I love that these particular ones lace up over the knee for an unexpected look.

What better time to don a few of your favourite local designers, than while in a foreign place? Even more exciting when an alluring off-shoulder, fun print and some Soy Sos is involved 😀
