I recently received a message from one of you, requesting for a post dedicated to pairing skirts and sweaters together to create looks that are “lady-like and sophisticated.” If there’s one thing I love about the cold weather, it’s the chance to finally start wearing swaeters, which made me more than happy to work on this post. Besides, what’s cozier than a sweater, right? 🙂
I put together three looks which I hope will be helpful.
UMBRELLAS N’ THINGS
For this look I played on this V-Neck sweater’s appeal, updating it with interesting textures. To add some interest to the outfit story, I used an old trick I discovered; Wearing the sweater backside-front. I used the same trick here. Because the sweater is a little graphic, I opted for noir separates and simple silhouettes when it came down to pairing.

CLASSIC BUTTON-DOWN
I love this button-down sweater for its simplicity and classic appeal. It’s one of those you can- and probably will- wear with everything! For today’s post I put together a look that oozes elegance and sophistication; One that easily and gracefully transitions from desk to dinner 😉
Sweater (Old): Woolworths
Stripped Drop Neck: Vosti Look
Midi Zipper Skirt: Ken- +254 728 962124
ROYAL RUFFLES
Out of all the three looks, this one could easily be my favourite! This ruffled number did a fab job adding feminine charm to the outfit, achieving a cheerful and whimsical look, which is just my cup of tea! 🙂

Which of the three was your favourite? Drop me a line and let me know 🙂

Look one is everything for me, classy, sexy and definitely a head turner…plus you did wear the sweater front backwards….creatively done. Let me exit now before I write loads on the lace skirt……but I do love the skirt in look two….and look three works well too.
